Workshops
Have you always wanted to get creative with chocolate? Then you’ve come to the right place. On weekends and during school breaks, you can book a 1-hour chocolate workshop in conjunction with your museum visit. You’ll be placed in a mixed-ability group.
During our 1-hour chocolate workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with some basic chocolate-making techniques and create two chocolate treats: student mix and chocolate lollipops. Afterward, you’ll get to take your homemade treats home with you.
The workshops always take place in one of our studios in the heart of Antwerp. They’re open to everyone.

We’re happy to create a custom workshop for groups. You can book a group workshop for 10 or more people. If your group has fewer than 10 people, you’ll pay for 10.
During the 1-hour chocolate workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with some basic chocolate-making techniques and create two chocolate treats: student mix and chocolate lollipops. Afterward, you’ll take your homemade treats home with you.
During the 2-hour chocolate workshop, you’ll receive an introduction to the production of our homemade chocolate in our bean-to-bar department. Afterward, you’ll get to work with this delicious product yourself and gain hands-on experience with some basic chocolate-making techniques. During this workshop, you’ll make your own student mix and chocolate lollipops and finish off some pralines. You’ll get to take your homemade creations home with you afterward.
There are many different options: from making your own chocolate lollipops or pralines, to a tour of our bean-to-bar facility combined with a chocolate tasting, to a chocolate food pairing, where you’ll taste different beers or wines paired with various types of chocolate.
Prices depend on the type of workshop and its duration.

At Chocolate Nation, you can try your hand at being a chocolatier during one of our chocolate workshops.
Depending on the workshop format, you’ll learn more about chocolate, discover the basics of working with chocolate, and create your own chocolate creations under the guidance of a chocolatier. The workshops are open to both beginners and chocolate enthusiasts with a bit more experience.
We offer various options for individual visitors, families, groups, schools, and companies.
On our workshop page, you’ll find an overview of all current workshops, their duration, content, and available dates.
Absolutely. Chocolate workshops are a popular activity for team-building events, client events, staff outings, and networking events.
Making chocolate together is accessible, interactive, and, above all, a lot of fun. The workshops encourage collaboration, creativity, and enjoyment, with no prior knowledge required.
Depending on the package you choose, workshops are often combined with a visit to Chocolate Nation, lunch or dinner at Restaurant Octave, a reception, or a fully customized corporate event.
Our team is happy to help you put together a package that perfectly aligns with your organization and objectives.
Yes, definitely. Many groups choose to extend their visit to Chocolate Nation with a chocolate workshop.
This way, you’ll not only discover the story of Belgian chocolate during the experience, but you’ll also get hands-on under the guidance of a chocolatier. This combination is popular with families, clubs, schools, groups of friends, and companies.
Our team would be happy to help you put together a program that fits your group size, the time you have available, and your preferences.
We recommend a minimum age of 12 for our workshops.
Children are, of course, welcome, but we do ask that an adult be present to keep an eye on things. This way, we ensure that everyone can enjoy the workshop safely and worry-free.
Not sure if a workshop is suitable for your child or group? Contact us at workshops@chocolatenation.be. We’d be happy to help.
Of course. You can take home the chocolate creations you make during the workshop.
That way, you can not only look back on a fun and educational experience, but also enjoy your own creations at home or share them with family and friends.
Please note: the exact number and type of chocolate products depend on the workshop package you choose.
No. Our workshops are specially designed for beginners and require no prior knowledge or experience.
Under the guidance of a chocolatier, you’ll discover step by step how to work with chocolate and create your own chocolate creations. The most important ingredient? Enthusiasm.
Whether you’re working with chocolate for the first time or have spent plenty of time in the kitchen, our workshops are accessible, educational, and, above all, a lot of fun.
Do you have an allergy or intolerance? Be sure to let us know in advance when you make your reservation. That way, we can discuss your options together, and you can assess your personal risk and decide whether you can participate.
During the 1-hour workshop, you’ll be working with milk chocolate or dark chocolate. If you’re lactose intolerant, it’s best to choose dark chocolate. We’ll also be using various toppings, which the chocolatier will explain one by one at the start of the workshop.
The same principles apply to the 2-hour workshop. In this workshop, we’ll also be working with a gianduja filling. Gianduja is a mixture of milk chocolate, finely ground hazelnuts, and powdered sugar, so it’s not suitable for people with a nut allergy.
Although we try to accommodate allergies and intolerances as much as possible, we operate in an environment where various ingredients are processed. Therefore, we can never completely rule out the presence of traces.
Based on the information above, you understand that your visit to Chocolate Nation and your participation in the workshops are always at your own risk.
