On Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, Antwerp will once again be all about Smaakmeesters. During this culinary festival, more than a hundred Antwerp restaurants, cafés, and specialty shops will introduce you to one of their unique house specialties.
Chocolate Nation and Octave are also taking part this year.
At Octave, Chocolate Nation’s restaurant, we’re serving a true Belgian classic during Smaakmeesters for €7: a Brussels waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh chocolate sauce. A delicious combination for chocolate lovers and those with a sweet tooth.
Our brand-new Chocolate Nation Shop at Grote Markt 29 is also taking part. There, for €7, you can enjoy our Pearls Mix: crunchy biscuits coated in several layers of Belgian chocolate. Perfect for enjoying on your own or sharing.
Smaakmeesters is a feast for the taste buds, and no feast is complete without treats. In the cruise terminal at Het Steen, you can sample typical Antwerp regional specialities. You’ll find Chocolate Nation there too.

The Smaakmeesters promotion runs on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, from 12 noon to 6 pm on both days. Our museum shop on Koningin Astridplein is not taking part in the Smaakmeesters promotion.
